Even before I was Vehicle Integration Lead Engineer at Wrightspeed, and owned development of this truck, I worked on it regularly as a Test Engineer.
As the company's very first full-size vehicle (with a 1000hp retrofit kit), a lot of show deadlines had to be made. This happened in conjunction with vehicle testing and iteration. Despite having a large chassis, layout proved difficult and fitting all of our components on board was a challenge. And because these trucks take on so much weight during a route, they don't really have suspension. That meant all my brackets, mounting, and routing parts had to be extremely rugged.
Many of the best days I had at Wrightspeed were spent under that truck, covered in grease and antifreeze. I want my career to stay as hands-on as that.
