Python Camera Tools (2015)

During my time as a test engineer, I played a key role in developing a turbine generator. I designed and tested a lot of parts for the fuel system, including:

- Engine parts with large quartz viewing windows (pictured)

- Quartz spray and flow chambers

- Quartz combustor assembly

Then, using only free Python libraries and cheap usb webcams, I wrote scripts so that any of our test computers could stream and record 4+ video feeds. It also stayed synchronized with other datalogging systems.

The engine in the picture shown is an early prototype, burning natural gas. Footage captured later in the program using my code proved invaluable to the development effort.
